BEAP Xtra
BEAP Xtra - Frozen Jr!
Tuesdays, 5-7pm, Autumn and Spring terms only, at
King David High School
BEAP Xtra is so excited to be performing Frozen Jr this year!
What is BEAP Xtra?
BEAP Xtra is a musical theatre group for children from any primary school across Liverpool aged between 7-11. If your child has a passion for singing, dancing, acting, or all three, then BEAP Xtra is the perfect ensemble for them.
.The children will look at script work and acting through song in full blown ensemble and solo numbers that will light up the stage. All three aspects of Musical Theatre will be examined through preparing for five extraordinary performances of FROZEN.
We also like to explore all the creative sides of our students as we get to know them and offer them opportunities to design the T shirts, tickets and programme as well as writing for the programme. The students will also be involved in set making and prop making.
Our costumes are designed and made specifically for us by the Students at The City of Liverpool College Costumes department and students themselves can get involved in hair and make up.
During our dress rehearsal we have Phil Daley Photography come and take studio portraits as well as live action shots which are then available to parents as great keep sakes. We also do a live stream of one performance that you can share with family and friends around the world so they can enjoy the magic.
Auditions
And do you want to hear something crazy? BEAP Xtra is a non-auditioned ensemble. Whilst we do hold auditions on September 28, these are only for anyone wishing to try out for a lead role, and there is no audition prerequisite to join our BEAP Xtra cast.
Costs
£230 for the year working out at £4.05 per hour!
However our course is full for this year. Contact us if you want to go on the register for next year's performance or be part of the West End Summer Showcase.

This year we are Performing Frozen Jr!
This year's annual BEAP show is Frozen Jr, The classic Disney tale of love, family, and, most importantly, snow! We chose Frozen for our annual show this year as we think it reflects what BEAP is all about: learning not to be your true self. Here at BEAP, we have created a welcoming, warm and friendly environment for any child to come and explore their excitement for performance, and what better show to allow them to do that than one that is all about letting it go...
Where and when BEAP Xtra based?
BEAP Xtra rehearses every Tuesday down at King David's High School from September to March, making use of their exceptional rehearsal space to put together a polished, West End-ready production. As always, there will be a few extra rehearsals here and there to make sure our show is more than just a Fixer Upper, so check out the BEAP Xtra Calendar to find out when your child will be needed.
The performances this year will be at the state-of-the-art theatre in the City of Liverpool Arts College, and not for the First Time in Forever! The College's theatre has become the home of BEAP since we did our first production of Moana there in 2021, and they are the perfect venue to house our different ensembles. BEAP's production of Frozen will have full costuming, tech, set, makeup, wigs (especially one blonde, plaited one!) and more to give your children their very own West End experience.
