It's a BEAP Panto? Oh no it isn't! Oh yes it is!
Pantomime season is more than just a theatrical tradition. It's a cultural phenomenon that weaves its magic through communities across the country.
Big BEAP are proud to be doing their first ever pantomime! Kicking our brand new experience off will be the classic tale of Cinderella, the most popular pantomime ever!
This story is so important to the theatrical tradition, and we are proud to say we will be performing it - even if it’ll contain a bit more Spice Girls than the original.
Cinderella the Pantomime is a fresh reimagining of the tale we know and love, featuring first loves, grand balls, financial corruption and, of course, Barbie and Prince Ken.
And, with professional tutors available to guide you every step of the way including pantomime expert choreographer Jo Walls, BEAPanto’s Cinderella. is sure to blow your glass slippers off.
The show is open to any students in secondary school year 7-13 and we accept all those who apply into our company up to 60 students. However video auditions will be held for anyone wanting to try for a principal role. If you think you could be our next Cinderella, Prince Ken or Ugly Sister, then you should really consider auditioning. All roles that require audition are at the bottom of this page.
Audition material will be sent out via request in September, video auditions should be sent in by October 1 and cast will be announced on Oct 8. Rehearsals start on November 3rd, continuing through every Sunday in November, with a Dress Rehearsal on Saturday 30th November and 2 performances on 1st December; the perfect way to kick off your festive season.
Rehearsals and performances will take place in the City of Liverpool Arts College, utilising their state-of-the-art theatre, practice rooms, dance rooms, cafe and more. Full costuming, tech production and set will also be used for the performance, to give our students an impression of what putting on a genuine professional production would be like.

This price is all inclusive, apart from tickets, which will go on sale roughly two weeks before the performances. £75 is required to hold your place and the balance of £100 is due 1 week before we start so 27 October. We do offer full scholarship places to students who may be experiencing financial difficulties so please do get in touch and don't let money be a reason you don't take part. We offer this for all our BIG BEAP courses in our effort to make the arts accessible to all.
A Pantomime is a completely different genre to anything we have done before so we are pretty sure it will be new to our company members too. This is our opportunity to really have fun together whilst working hard on pop dance and vocal numbers. It really is a staple of the British culture and a great one to have under your belt.
