West End Camp
West End Camp 22 July - 27 July 2025
Younger group - Years 5-7 60 pupils
Older group - Years 8-13 60 pupils
BEAP'S West End Showcase is BACK! We are excitedly planning our next showcase performance for early Summer 2025, and it is sure to live up to the high bar set by last year's cast. The showcase is a chance for all of our performers from years 5-13 to join together in two groups to take on 4 large excerpts from West End Shows, with solos, duets and small group numbers filling in the gaps. To get a better idea of how this show is structured, take a glance at the programme for last year's performance below.
This year, our younger group, (school year 5/6/7) will be performing:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Beauty and the Beast.
The older group (Year 8-13) will be performing:
A Chorus Line and Newsies!
These four legendary musicals have filled our already growing cast with excitement,
so why not come join them?
How much does this course cost?
The course is £175 for the week, with your children receiving the best tutorship the West End has to offer, including vocal training, and dance training, as well as getting to perform in the state-of-the-art Liverpool City Arts College theatre space, and utilising their rehearsal rooms and practice rooms during the week.
Is this a fully produced performance?
This production utilises minimal set, due to the intense amount of shows being put on in one 2.5 hour performance, yet costumes will still be provided for all casts.
What kind of people is this course perfect for?
This course is perfect for anyone thinking of going into musical theatre, as it gives a real experience of what it is like to rehearse and perform current West End shows, but it also perfect for anyone who simply loves to sing and dance, as we strike the perfect balance between professionalism and fun. The course is also perfect for those looking to build up their theatrical confidence, as due to the number of shows performed, every actor gets the chance to shine wether through a solo line or solo song.
Do I have to audition for a place on the course?
This course is non-auditioned, however self tape audition material will be sent out for those wanting to try for a main role or solo, duet or small group number.
Auditions should be sent in by 14 June and the full cast for all four shows plus any extras will be announced on 21 June.
How does financing work for this course?
This price is all inclusive, apart from tickets, which will go on sale roughly two weeks before the performances. £75 is required to hold your place and the balance of £100 is due 1 week before we start so 27 October. We do offer full scholarship places to students who may be experiencing financial difficulties so please do get in touch and don't let money be a reason you don't take part. We offer this for all our BIG BEAP courses in our effort to make the arts accessible to all. A 10% discount is available for those joining two or more of our Big BEAP casts.
